The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso will appear this Wednesday at Telenoticias 2 (20:30 hours) from Telemadrid to address the measures taken against the coronavirus in their region. It will be the first interview that he grants on television since the health alert began.

Special containment measures activated since Wednesday
As of this Wednesday, March 11, people who have given positive for coronavirus in the Community of Madrid amount to 1,024, being the region with the most registered cases in all of Spain, where almost 2,100 are counted. 31 of the 47 deaths in the country have occurred in this region.
At the same time, hospital discharges of 157 patients have been issued for "patient improvement", as detailed by the Ministry of Health, which in turn has strengthened medical personnel: 1,658 contracts, 707 corresponding to the extension of the Winter Plan contracts and 951 specific to the coronavirus. 516 more contracts in 24 hours.
Precisely this very Wednesday the implementation of the exceptional measures decreed for the containment of the disease in the region began. The most important is the suspension of classes in schools of all levels (nursery schools, colleges, institutes and universities) to which is added the closure of public sports centers or the suspension of closed-door shows that concentrate more than 1,000 people.
